Full Zika Genome Discovered In Fetus With Microcephaly

The link between Zika and development of microcephaly, in which babies are born with abnormally small heads, is still not yet proven, but the evidence is gradually. Now, for the first time, the researchers found the complete genome of Zika in the brain of a fetus with microcephaly. The virus was found in what scientists describe as "extremely abnormal brain", but not in all other organs of aborted fetus, suggesting that preferentially infects the brain.

While the virus has been known since 1947 when it was identified in Uganda, he has since toured the world. After leaving West Africa, it emerged in Asia, Micronesia and the Philippines before finally arriving in South America, where it was linked to a series of babies born with microcephaly. Why he suddenly emerged with such devastating effect, especially in Brazil, is still unknown, with answers scrambling researchers and vaccine if necessary.
Reports have also flowed into more and more people outside of South America being diagnosed with the virus. Although the active transmission has been limited mainly to the tropics, many people returning from these countries brought the virus with them. In the US, there have been 35 confirmed cases mainly related to travel, while Australia reported their first cases of Zika in a pregnant woman this week. It is important to emphasize that the risk of transmission of the disease in these countries is still close to zero, because it is mainly transmitted through a single mosquito species, which is found only in some areas.

In what is apparently a trend, it seems that Zika have been spreading around the world undetected for some time before the public health emergency was declared by the World Health Organization. In the U.K., for example, seven people have been diagnosed with Zika over the past three years, but four of these cases have been discovered since January. A similar situation was seen in Australia, with one person may have contracted the virus in December last year, but only a positive test last week. Officials believe that with the epidemic in South America is gaining much attention, more people are now test and find that they have the virus unknowingly.

In an effort to accelerate research on the virus, and to encourage the sharing of knowledge, nature has announced that it will make all documents related to the virus free access until further notice Zika. The publishing group say they were pressured to make a decision after the Ebola epidemic in both 2014 and Zika epidemic underway. They note that in the context of public health emergencies, sharing all information allows all parties involved to make the most informed decisions.

Although no travel bans have been issued, those responsible for public health are still calling people to assess their risks before traveling to countries where the virus transmission by mosquitoes was confirmed. The warning currently only pregnant women, to try to prevent them from infecting their unborn child. There are, however, some concern about the possibility that the virus could be transmitted sexually, and so people are encouraged to use condoms for at least four weeks.

"Who's the Boss?" 10 ways to start taking control (time management, goal setting, record tracking)

"Who's the Boss?" 10 ways to start taking control (time management, goal setting, record tracking)

At first glance, it seems the trouble of thinking and positive attention deficit (ADD) has nothing to do with the other. But many of us with ADD develop negative thinking patterns because we become frustrated by our challenges and frequent feelings of being overwhelmed. This negative outlook then makes it even harder for us to manage those challenges and move forward.

Practicing positive thinking allows people with ADD to focus on our strengths and accomplishments, which increases happiness and motivation. This, in turn, enables us to spend more time making progress, and less time feeling down and stuck. The following tips provide practical suggestions that you can use to help you shift into more positive thinking patterns:

1. Take care of yourself
It is much easier to be positive when you are eating well, exercise and get enough rest.

2. Remember the things you are grateful for
Constraints and challenges do not seem quite as bad when you are constantly reminding you of things that are right in life. Taking just 60 seconds a day to stop and appreciate the good things will make a huge difference.

3. Locate the evidence instead of making assumptions
A fear of not being liked or accepted sometimes leads us to think that we know what others think, but our fears are usually not reality. If you have a fear that the bad mood of a friend or family member is because of something you did, or that your co-workers are secretly gossiping about you when you turn your back, speak and ask them. Do not waste time worrying that you did something wrong unless you have proof that there is something to fear.

4. refrain from using absolute
Have you ever told a partner "You're always late!" or complained to a friend "You NEVER call me!"? Think and speak in absolute terms like "always" and "never" makes the situation seem worse than it is, and programs your brain into believe that some people are unable to provide.

5. Detach From Negative thoughts
Your thoughts can not hold any power over you if you do not judge them. If you notice yourself having a negative thought, detach, witness, and do not follow.

6. Squash the "ants"
In his book "Change Your Brain, Change Your Life," Dr. Daniel Amen talks about "ants" - automatic negative thoughts. These are the bad thoughts that are usually reactionary, like "Those people are laughing, they are talking about me," or "The boss wants to see me? It must be bad! "When you notice these thoughts, realize that they are no more than ants and crush them!

7. Practice Lovin ', Touchin' & Squeezin '(friends and family)
You do not have to be an expert to know the benefits of a good hug. Positive physical contact with friends, relatives and even pets, is an instant pick-me-up. A research study on this subject had a waitress touch some of her customers on the arm as she handed them their checks. She received higher tips from these customers than from the ones she did not touch!

8. Increase Your Social Activity
By increasing social activity, you decrease loneliness. surround yourself with healthy, happy people, and their positive energy will affect you in a positive way!

9. Volunteer for an organization, or help another person
Everyone feels good after helping. You can volunteer your time, your money or resources. The more positive energy you put into the world, the more you will receive in return.

10. Use Pattern interrupts the fight against rumination
If you find yourself ruminating, a great way to stop it is to interrupt the pattern and force yourself to do something completely different. Rumination is like hyper-focus on something negative. It's never productive, because it's not rational or solution-oriented, it's just excessive worry. Try changing your physical environment - go for a walk or sit outside. You can also call a friend, take a book, or turn to music.

When it comes to the corporate world, protocol is pretty much the religion. To know the things needed to do are the basics of productivity, but interaction and having a steady mind is the very thing to true productivity. There are those who seem to work well even under pressure, but they are rare ones and we are human and imperfect. To get these little things like stress under our skins will not solve our problems. Sometimes it takes a bit of courage to admit that we are turning to be workaholics we say we do not do our best.

Horses Can Read Our Facial Expressions

Horses Can Read Our Facial Expressions

Horses understand the expressions of man's face, and they can make the difference between happy faces and angry, according to a new study published this week in Biology Letters.

Previous work has shown that horses are able to produce complex facial expressions and also collect other members of their species. They are also sensitive to us signals, too. After all, the ability to read the emotions through the species barrier would be particularly useful for social species, domestic - no matter how different our faces could watch their.

To see if they can discern our expressions, the University of Sussex team led by Amy Smith showed photographs of 28 domestic horses (Equus caballus) aged four to 23, recruited from five stables in Sussex and Surrey in the UK these are color photos of two unidentified men smile or frown . For researchers to get spontaneous reactions, horses have received no training for this experience. The team measured the heart rate of horses, which correlates with stress, and recorded their answers with camcorders.

When horses have seen pictures of men making an angry face, their heart rate increased faster than when they looked at pictures of smiling men. In addition, many of them also moved her head to look at the picture angry with their left eye - a behavioral response previously linked to the perception of negative stimuli.

The right brain that handles information for the left eye, is specialized for processing threatening stimuli. "It is particularly important for animals to recognize threats in their environment," said Smith in a statement. "In this context, recognition of angry faces can act as a warning system, allowing horses to anticipate the negative human behavior as rough handling." This is called the left-eye polarization, and dogs do too. Neither species showed a sideways glance to facial expressions happy, since they are not threatening indices.

There are several possible explanations why horses have the ability to distinguish certain expressions of the human face. "Horses may have adapted preexisting capacity (ancestral) to respond appropriately to negative emotional expressions of their peers and, throughout their co-evolution with humans, transferred this capability to a morphologically different species," the team writes . Or, individual horses may have simply learned to interpret our words in their life.

Why threatening decrease in the number of bees continuation of life on our planet?

Why threatening decrease in the number of bees continuation of life on our planet?

Directly bee pollination is responsible for about 70 percent of all plants and increases about 30 percent of the global food supply, making the survival of hives essential for health and sustainable agriculture on indicator of the planet.
Unfortunately, reports of a sharp drop in the number of bee colonies around the world show that portends a great danger. This decrease may be due to global warming accelerated because of the rate of growth of the causes of harmful diseases such as dust mites, viruses, fungi, or pesticides used on crops that are addressed and transferred to hives by bees during the production pollination and increased electromagnetic radiation in the atmosphere, which is associated with the rapid growth of mobile phones and wireless communication towers that are supposed to interfere with the ability of bees to identify trends in during flight.

Too much of school

Too much of school

When my mother finally decided to take that plum assignment as Divisional Head, I knew I was in trouble. Her office hours stretched beyond my
school hours. And anyway, I am aware of the many discussions my parents
had "Honey, what do we do with the kids? Well, finally they hit
gold - education after school. Will not it just grand? children
are learning new things while parents are happy emitted greenbacks!
So we went directly to another class after the school. Brochure
said they would "Through innovative fun and educational activities
methods to bridge the gap in understanding your child. " I guess they
means that the teacher would write the homework and we were copying
he. At least it happened most of the time. Of course, we did not
tell our parents. How would this help? They just get smart and we move to a class that would actually make us solve our homework.
I hated the classes. Most of the time, I was bored to tears or falling asleep.
After so many hours in school who would spend all afternoon
with the same books? But as a child, had little choice in these
Questions. Especially when his parents were ably say that
Mom's salary will help us get that spanking new TV or video game.
Lose some, gain some!
Then one day, my sister decided to make the proverbial waves. She decided
she had enough of studying and refused to go to the after school program.
That's when my parents began to feel some dull thing. Shortly after,
they put us in a better program (o, yes, another education). This
was bigger, brighter and more fun in some way. We had some interesting games,
and a computer too. Each of us got a chance to do something on the PC
(This, when computers were just beginning to make their presence felt). we
managed to fight through our homework, most of which had to be
by us. Then it was time to have fun. We had a little
all. acting classes, speech, games and painting classes. Those
hours we spent the splashes of color on the pages and laugh at stupid jokes were
really the highlight of an otherwise boring day. Ironically, I began
looking forward to my after school program.
Now, so many years later, when I have to take a job and leave my
own child alone until I get home, I know how these after school
programs have become. Talk about history repeating itself! I just wish I would
put in a good, and yes, it will be educational too.

Reconcile your skills to find a suitable job opportunities

Reconcile your skills to find a suitable job opportunities

Skills relate to things you do well. The key to finding the most appropriate jobs in the industry is recognizing your own skills and communicate the importance writing and verbally to a probable employer.

The majority of the most viable skills are those used in a variety of workplaces. What are these skills? Would matching your skills to find the right job be successful?

* Determine your skills. This will help you become the leading candidate to land the job. A skill does not necessarily mean it was adapted into a work environment. If this is your first job search, and you have no work experience to date, you still have a chance in the industry.

The majority of skills, including knowledge-based and transferable, could be absorbed and developed as a volunteer, a student, a housewife, or other personal activities. The skills you have used for these activities can still be applied to your desired jobs.

The organization and list your personal skills could help you easily fill out job applications, provide useful information for job interviews, and prepare for the resumption of quality.

First, you need to classify the skills by separating your interests and abilities of your work experience.

1) Skills and interests. These include all of your hobbies, activities you have been involved in the past, and all the things that interest you. By listing all these down, you can examine the skills it takes to achieve each item.

Skills the ability and interest can be spare, playing basketball, fixing cars and many others. All this could determine whether you are able to work with a team, able to handle multiple tasks, have viable knowledge of human development, knowledge of electronics and ability to diagnose mechanical and numerical problems. The list is long, but make sure to consider the skills that would be beneficial for a working environment.

2) Work history. This includes volunteer, part-time, freelance, summer and full time jobs.Once you have listed all your past employment, examine the skills you do work each work right.

* Ask for help. Once you have your list ready, you can now go to job services that could help you in getting your desired job. You can also search job yourself. However, always remember to suit your skills and abilities in your list to the skills and capacities of the different jobs required.

In most cases, people who seek jobs are threatened with job titles. This should not be the case. As your skills and abilities could meet the demands of the workload and job title, your possibility of acquiring your desired job increases.

Morocco Just Switched On The World's Largest Solar Plant

Morocco Just Switched On The World's Largest Solar Plant

Whenever finished, the site will cover a range bigger than the nation's capital, Rabat, and will make Morocco's sun powered plant the biggest on the planet. It is trusted that it will in the long run create so much power that the country won't just have the capacity to meet its own particular vitality needs, additionally trade the overabundance to Europe. The main area of the plant was turned on this evening by Morocco's Above all else Mohammed VI, and is relied upon to begin producing 160 megawatts.

Worked close to the town of Ouarzazate in focal Morocco, the plant utilizes sunlight based warm innovation, as opposed to photovoltaic sun powered boards. Sun based warm innovation utilizes mirrors, which track the development of the Sun, to focus sun oriented beams to warmth oil in funnels. The hot oil is utilized to make steam keeping in mind the end goal to power turbines, making the power. The benefit of utilizing this procedure is that the oil can then be utilized to liquefy salt, which clutches the vitality, and can be utilized to create control even after the Sun has gone down.

The section that has just been turned on, called Noor 1, is expected to provide enough energy for around a million homes, and will be producing electricity for up to three hours after the Sun has set. When the full plant is up and running by 2018, it will be creating 560 megawatts of electricity. At this stage, it is expected to be running 20 hours a day and will cover an area of 24.3 square kilometers (9.4 square miles).
By focusing the energy of the Sun onto a single point, the plant is able to heat the oil up to extremely high temperatures. This is used to melt the salt at 500°C (932°F), which is then stored in massive tanks. The solar plant is just one aspect of the nation’s ambition to generate 42 percent of its electricity needs from renewables (through a mixture of wind, hydro, and solar power) by 2030 – though it is expected to up this to 52 percent at the next climate meeting. Compare this to the U.K., a much richer country, which has pledged to generate 30 percent of its electricity from renewables over the same period of time.
So far, the power plant has had $3.9 billion (£2.7 billion) in funding, with around $1 billion (£690 million) coming from a German investment bank and $400 million (£276 million) from the World Bank. It is hoped that as the price of solar power continues to drop, it will become more and more viable to build even more of these projects, and move further away from fossil fuels.
